Point 1 = (x1,y1)=(8,-1)

Point 2= (x2,y2)= (-8,5)

We have to apply the slope formula:

m=((y2-y1))/((x2-x1))

Replace with the coordinates given:

m=((5-(-1)))/((-8-8))=((5+1))/((-16))=(6)/(-16)=-(3)/(8)
