Mark launched his model rocket from the ground. As it flew, its height followed the path of the equation h (t) = -16t² + 180t, where the height, h, is in feet and the time, t, is
in seconds. How many seconds will it take the rocket to reach a height of 350 feet going

Explanation:

h(t) = 350 ft = -16t^2 + 180t

0 = - 16t^2 + 180t - 350 Now use quadratic formula with

a = -16 b = 180 c = -350

to find t = 2.5s ( on the way UP) and 8.75 s ( on the way back down)
