Final answer:

Adoption can present obstacles to bonding and attachment due to factors like lack of immediate bonding time, previous instability, and separation of siblings.

Step-by-step explanation:

Adoption can present obstacles to bonding and attachment due to several factors. First, adoptive parents may not have been a part of the child's birth or had immediate bonding time with the child, which can affect the early attachment process. Second, the child may have experienced a period of instability or lack of a permanent family before adoption, which can impact their ability to form secure attachments. Third, separated siblings may experience worry and slower acceptance of their new home if they are not placed together.
