To evaluate f(x) at x = -4 we substiitute x in the equation with -4. Doing this gives

f(-4)=2|5(-4)+7|-1
f(-4)=2|-20+7|-1
\begin{gathered} f(-4)=2|-13|-1 \\ f(-4)=2\cdot13-1 \end{gathered}
f(-4)=25

which is our answer!
