For the function in the graph we have:

domain is [-3, 4]

range is: [1, 8]

What is the domain and range?

For a function, the domain is the set of possible inputs that the fuction can have, while the range is the set of the possible outputs.

To find the domain we need to look at the horizontal axis.

The leftmost value is x = -3

The rightmost value is x = 4

Notice that we have closed circles, which means that these values belong to the domain, then the domain is [-3, 4]

For the range we need to look at the vertical axis.

The smallest value is y= 1

The largest value is y = 8

Then the range is: [1, 8]
