EXPLANATION

Given the dots:

(x1,y1)=(8,2) and (x2,y2)=(6,3)

The slope equation is:


\text{Slope = }((y_2-y_1))/((x_2-x_1))

Replacing the ordered pairs in the slope equation will give us:


\text{Slope = }((3-2))/((6-8))=(1)/(-2)=-(1)/(2)

The slope of the line is -1/2.
