Hiya! Here's my question:

A baker uses 80 grams of salt for each batch of bread. Salt comes in a 32-kilogram package or a 1,700-gram package. Which size package should the baker buy so that no salt is left after all of the batches are made? Explain.

(I really need to answer this quickly, thanks! ^^)

wait i got it!

Since 18 kilograms are 18000 grams, you have

18000/30=600

and

800/30=26.6

So, with 18 kilograms of salt the baker can make exactly 600 batches with no leftovers, while with 800 grams of salt the baker can make 26 batches, with some leftovers.

In fact, 26 batches require

26 x 30 =780

grams of salt, and the remaining

800-780=20

grams of salt are not enought to prepare the next batch
