Answer: 4 gallons.

Explanation:

With this equation, we can use the ratio 1/2 : 1/8. For every 1/2 gallon of paint, 1/8 of a wall is painted.

If 1/2 gallons covers 1/8 of a wall, then we need 8 of the 1/2 gallons to cover the whole wall. We canrepresent this by multiplying 8 and 1/2.

8 x 1/2 = 4.

Because of this, 4 gallons of paint are needed to cover he entire wall.

(Quick note: I don't know why, but the answer choices seem kind of weird. But the answer is 4 :])
