As given ,

For a -b = ( x₁ - x₂ , y₁ - y₂ )

= ( -6 - (-1) , 7 - (-3) )

= ( -6 + 1 , 7 + 3 )

= ( -5 , 10 )

⇒ a - b = ( -5, 10 ) = ( x, y)

∴ we get

x = -5 , y = 10
