How does the rise of nationalism after the Napoleonic wars lead to WWI?

Answer:

The rise and spread of nationalism gave people a new sense of identity and also led to an increased sense of competition among nation-states. After Napoleon was defeated (twice!) ... It was an extremely bloody competition that we now call World War I.
