The height TH of the triangle is 5.73m

The height of the isosceles triangle can be calculated using Pythagorean theorem.

since The triangles is isosceles therefore line TH is the bisector of line UV.

Therefore UH = 15.4/2 = 7.7

Pythagoras theorem theorem mathematically states that;

c² = a² + b²

where c is the hypotenuse and a and b are the other two legs

Therefore;

TH = √ 9.6² - 7.7²

TH = √ 32.87

TH = 5.73m

Therefore The length TH is 5.73m

The figure shows an isoceles triangke TUV where TU=TV=9.6 m and UV=15.4 m. Find the-example-1
