Based on the above, the Perimeter of shape B is known to be 50 cm

What is the Perimeter of the shape?

The perimeter of a shape is the total length of its boundary or the sum of all its sides. The formula for calculating the perimeter varies depending on the shape.

Perimeter of shape A = 60 cm

Let the length of each square = x cm

Total length of free boundaries of shape A = 12x

So , 12x = 60

x = 5 cm

Now length surfaces of shape B = 10x

Perimeter of shape B = 10x

= 10(5)

= 50 cm
