Aircrew members have restrictions on flying after completing a hypobaric chamber flight above a certain altitude. There are exemptions and conditions for flying as passengers in aircraft during this period. Reduced Oxygen Breathing Device (ROBD) training does not have any restrictions.
Aircrew members will not fly if within 12 hours after completing a hypobaric (altitude) chamber flight above 25,000 ft. MSL. During this period, they may fly as passengers in aircraft as long as the planned mission ensures a cabin altitude of 15,000 ft. MSL or less.
However, aircrew members are exempt from this restriction for altitude chamber flights up to 25,000 ft. MSL, as long as the planned cabin altitude does not exceed 15,000 ft. MSL.
There are no restrictions following Reduced Oxygen Breathing Device (ROBD) training.
