the missing side length is 8 (i don't think you need to add the power of 2)

Explanation:

I believe what you have to use is
a^(2) +b^(2) = c^(2)
with the 10 being c, and 6 being a.
so then you would use the equation as such,
10^(2)-6^(2) =b^(2)
resolve the numbers to power first,
100-36=64

however, to officially get the answer you must square root 64 in order to get the
c^2 variable,
√(64)= 8^2

Notes: I hope this helps, however, I don't think I used the correct formula to get the right answer!
