Answer:

Rs 6,250

Explanation:

Let S be the Selling Price, P the profit, and C the cost, in Rs.

Anamol spends a total of (Rs 4,500 + Rs 500) = Rs 5,000 after repairs.

C = 5,000

Profit is the difference of Sale - Cost:

P = S - C

Percent profit is derived from the expression %P = P/C

He makes a 25% profit, so we can write

%P we are told is 25%, or 0.25

0.25 = (S - C)/C

0.25 = ((S - 5,000)/5,000)

1250 = S - 5,000

S = Rs 6,250
