So keeping this in mind, to find the y-intercept we can plug x as 0 as on that point it is touching the y axis so x is 0 (refer to attachment):

y= 3/2x - 12 (f(x) is domain it changes with x so it is same thing as y)

y= 3/2(0) -12= -12

So the graph touches the y-axis a -12

As mentioned earlier the point where the graph touches the x-axis is known as the x-intercept so we would equate y=0

(3)/(2)x - 12

(3x-24)/2=0

3x-24=0

3x=24

x=24/3 =8

So the graph touches the axis at 8
