Answer:

Your number can be any of these following numbers:

6.5, 6.6, 6.7, 6.8, 6.9, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4

Explanation:

We are given the following:

  • Your number has only one decimal place
  • When rounded to the nearest integer, it is 7

We can assume that the number is around 7.

But since there is only one decimal place in the number, there will actually not be many eligible numbers.

Let's start at 7 and go down, making sure that there is only one decimal place.

7, 6.9, 6.8, 6.7, 6.6, 6.5

We have to stop at 6.5 because if we keep going, 6.4, will end up rounding to 6 instead of 7.

Those are all the numbers below 7, but we still need to find the numbers above 7.

7, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4

We stop at 7.4 because going to 7.5 will round it up to 8 and not 7.

Adding everything together (make sure to not count 7 twice):

6.5, 6.6, 6.7, 6.8, 6.9, 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4

Hope this helped! Have a good day :)
