The values in the table should be completed using the function rule as follows;

x 0 1 2 3 4

y -18 -13 -8 -3 2

In order to use the given linear function y = 5x - 18 to complete the table, we would have to substitute each of the values of x (x-values) into the linear function and then evaluate as follows;

When the value of x is 0, the linear function is given by;

y = 5(0) - 18

y = -18

When the value of x is 1, the linear function is given by;

y = 5(1) - 18

y = -13

When the value of x is 2, the linear function is given by;

y = 5(2) - 18

y = -8

When the value of x is 3, the linear function is given by;

y = 5(3) - 18

y = -3

When the value of x is 4, the linear function is given by;

y = 5(4) - 18

y = 2.
