For this activity, you will be taking a full inventory of your personal fitness and health. You will record all the information that you gather during your inventory. You will then create a final presentation to submit using either pen and paper, a word processing program such as Microsoft Word, or a slide show type program like Power Point

Cooper 1.5 mile run test

For this activity, you will need to do one additional fitness test, called the Cooper Test. Onginally designed to test aerobic fitness for the army, this test measures how long it takes you to run a certain distance, in this case, 1 5 miles So you will need either a measured track to run on, or a smart phone or watch that will track the distance you have covered. You will also need a stopwatch. After warming up, run 1.5 miles as fast as you can and time it. Then go to www.exrx.net/Calculators/OneAndHalf.html and enter your data.

After neatly recording and presenting the information that you gather about your health, you will write one paragraph evaluating and summarizing your findings.

You will write another paragraph addressing your fitness goals and areas in your life that need improvement in order to better your overall health and fitness

Finally, you will write a brief description of your future exercise plan. The plan should span over the course of one full week and include a description of what you will do each day in terms of exercise

You may choose to record and display the information in any way that you see fit. However make sure that you separate your information into neat sections and include all the required information listed below a title for your fitness inventory

your height, weight, age

your resting heart rate

your maximum heart rate

your heart rate reserve

one paragraph explaining your exercise plan for one month, in which you have exercises that work on the five fitness zones (cardiorespiratory, musclesendurancebody compositionand flexibility) You can refer to the rubric below for further details about how you will be graded. If you are unable to perform or complete anything in the fitness inventory due to limited physical capabilities or lack of materials, please include a short paragraph explaining why you were unable to complete the requirement.

Remember, your information can be recorded and presented in any way that you see fit - a chart, a graph, a table, a listJust make sure that it is easy to read and understand

For muscular Strength and Endurance, I am able to perform 12 bicep curls with a 10-pound weight, 10 push-ups, and 20 sit-ups without taking a break. I typically experience muscle fatigue after about 30 minutes of continuous exercise.

I found the Cooper 1.5 Mile Test to be challenging, but I was able to complete it within 13 minutes. I felt my heart rate increase significantly throughout the test, and I was breathing heavily by the end. I am pleased with my score, as it indicates a fair level of aerobic fitness.

I am able to touch my toes with my fingertips without bending my knees. I can also perform a basic forward roll and backward roll. I am generally flexible, but I could improve my hip and hamstring flexibility.
