The Perimeter and Area of the composite shape are:

Perimeter = 64.2 km

Area = 143.1 km²

What is the Perimeter and Area of the Composite Shape?

Using Pythagoras Theorem, we have:

BC = √(5.2² - 4.1²)

BC = 3.2

Thus, the Perimeter of the composite figure is:

P = 15.2 + 15.2 + 5.2 + 20.2 + 3.2 + 5.2

P = 64.2 km

The area of the composite shape is:

A = (23.4 * 4.1) + ¹/₂(23.4 * 4.1)

A = 143.1 km²
