Given:

Height of person 5.3 ft.

Distance between person and tree is 34 feet

In triangle ABC

BC=34

Angle = 71

\begin{gathered} \tan \theta=\frac{\text{ perpendicular}}{\text{ base}} \\ \tan \theta=(AB)/(BC) \\ \tan 71=(AB)/(34) \\ AB=34*\tan 71 \\ AB=98.7431 \end{gathered}

So height of tree is person height + AB

\begin{gathered} =98.7431+5.3 \\ =104.0431 \end{gathered}

So height of tree is 104
