The given equation is

3(-2x+5)=9(x-5)

Dividing by 3 both sides, we get

(3\mleft(-2x+5\mright))/(3)=(9\mleft(x-5\mright))/(3)

-2x+5=3(x-5)

Multiplying 3 and (x-5) as follows.

-2x+5=3* x-3*5

-2x+5=3x-15

Adding 15 on both sides, we get

-2x+5+15=3x-15+15

-2x+20=3x

Adding 2x on both sides, we get

-2x+20+2x=3x+2x

20=5x

Dividing by 5, we get

(20)/(5)=(5x)/(5)
4=x

Hence the value of x is 4.
