Answer: Alex has 5.1Kg of more recyclable rubbish than Jack

Explanation:

100%=520

10%=52 - we divided both sides by 10

1%=5.2 - we divided both sides by 100

10%×8=80% so 52×8=416

1%×7=7% so 5.2×7=36.4

416+36.4= 452.4 - how much Jack can recycle

100%=750

10%=75

1%=7.5

10%×6=60% so 75×6=450

1% so 7.5×1=7.5

450+7.5=457.5 - how much Alex can recycle

so Alex has 457.5Kg whilst jack has 452.4Kg

so 457.5-452.4=5.1Kg

so Alex has 5.1Kg of more recyclable rubbish than Jack

Sure, let's calculate:

For Jack:
Recyclable amount = 520 kg * (87/100) = 452.4 kg

For Alex:
Recyclable amount = 750 kg * (61/100) = 457.5 kg

Now, compare the two values:

Jack: 452.4 kg
Alex: 457.5 kg

Alex takes the greater amount of recyclable rubbish by 457.5 kg - 452.4 kg = 5.1 kg.
