The number of cords that must be sold in other to the total pay the same is 220

Let the number cable sold = c

We can create equations for the salary for the companies thus ;

Company 1 :

  • 18000 + 30c ____(1)

Company 2 :

  • 11400 + 60c _____(2)

To make the same amount; equate both expression

18000 + 30c = 11400 +60c

18000 - 114000 = 60c - 30c

6600 = 30c

c = 6600 / 30

c = 220
