The graph of the function and the inverse on the same set are attached

Graphing the function and the inverse on the same set

From the question, we have the following parameters that can be used in our computation:

f(x) = 2ˣ + 1

Express f(x) as y

This gives

y = 2ˣ + 1

Next, we swap x and y

x = 2^y + 1

Making y the subject, we get

2^y = x - 1

Lastly, we have

y = \log_2(x - 1)

So, the inverse of the function is
g(x) = \log_2(x - 1)

The graph of the function and the inverse on the same set are attached
