Answer: x = -2/3

The correct way...

What my teacher taught me to do was multiply by the reciprocal to cancel it out, which in this case would be -4/3. Essentially, it is the same as multiplying everything by 4 to get rid of it, so it would be -3x = 2, then you would have to divide both sides by -3 and x=-2/3.

Explanation:

Ok so they basically added the 3/4 instead of multiplying both sides by the -3/4.
