The two equivalent ratios are 2:6:7 and 8:24:28

How to find the equivalent ratios?

two ratios are equivalent if one is a scalar times the other.

Here the two ratios are:

a:6:7

8:24:b

If these two are equivalent, then there exists a scalar k such that:

a*k = 8

6*k = 24

7*k = b

From the second equation we can find the value of k:

k = 24/6 =4

Now we can find the values of a and b.

a*4 = 8

a = 8/4 = 2

7*4 = b

28 = b

Then the ratios are:

2:6:7 and 8:24:28
