In covalent bonds, electrons are shared between atoms and the bonds are directional.
What are covalent bonds?
One kind of chemical link known as a covalent bond is created when two atoms share one or more electron pairs. Covalent bonds allow two atoms to reach a more stable electron configuration, typically resembling that of noble gases, by allowing the involved atoms to mutually contribute electrons to form a stable, shared electron pair.
The structures that are shown in the images attached shows the sharing of electrons in covalent bonds in all the compounds that are mentioned in this example.
