The types of the medium-voltage insulated conductors include tape, corrugated, concentric neutral, and tape plus concentric neutral c. shield
What is medium-voltage insulated conductors ?
An insulated conductor is defined as a conductor made of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) for medium-voltage lines and either XLPE or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for low-voltage lines. An insulated conductor is one that has insulation placed over it to guard against electric shock.
The types of medium-voltage insulated conductors are;
- tape, corrugated
- concentric neutral
- tape plus concentric neutral shield
