The calculated gradient of the line on the graph is 7

How to calculate the gradient of the line on the graph

From the question, we have the following parameters that can be used in our computation:

The graph

Use the concept of gradientof line defined as:

gradient = Δy/Δx

If a line is passing through (x₁ , y₁) and (x₂, y₂) then the gradient is

gradient = (y₂ - y₁)/(x₂ - x₁)

The line shown in the graph passing through the points,

(0, 0) and (5, 35)

So, we have

(x₁ , y₁) = (0, 0)

(x₂, y₂) = (5, 35)

This means that

Gradient = (35 - 0)/(5 - 0)

Evaluate

Gradient = 7

Hence, the gradient of the line on the graph is 7
