1 kilogram = 1000 grams
so if the girl is carrying 2.48kg, we would multiply that by 1000, so move the decimal three places to the left and add zeros to however extra digits u have.
an alternative is just multiplying by 1000 the standard way

Explanation: one kg is equal to 1000 grams so you multiply 2.48 by 1000 to get the weight in grams which is 2480
