The values of the marked angles B , C and side , d are 41° , 49° and 19.4 meters respectively

Using the concept of Trigonometry, we can calculate the values of the angles thus ;

  • Tan B = opposite/Adjacent

Tan B = 35/40

Tan B = 0.875

B = 41°

2.)

Calculate the value of angle C

C = 180 - (90 + 41) (sum of angles in a triangle)

C = 49°

3.)

Using pythagoras theorem ;

d = √40² - 35²

d = 19.36 ≈ 19.4 meters
