a) The two forces mentioned are a third law pair because they represent action and reaction.

b) The net force is √
(FBC - FCB)^2 + (FHC + FCG - FGC)^2

c) If FHC is removed, the cart will remain stationary and the velocity and acceleration will be zero as all forces are exactly balanced.

What is the net force?

The net force is the vector sum of all the individual forces acting on an object. In other words, it is the overall force that influences the motion or equilibrium of an object.

To get the net force;

a) Forces in y- direction; FBC - FCB

b) Forces in x - direction; FHC + FCG - FGC

Net force = √
(FBC - FCB)^2 + (FHC + FCG - FGC)^2

c) When FHC is removed, the cart will remain stationary and the velocity and acceleration will be zero as all forces are exactly balanced.
