first worker= ₱5250, second worker=₱7000

Explanation:

To answer these questions, we take the sum of ratios:

The sum of ratios is 3+4 =7.

Then we divide each individual ratio by the sum and multiply by the total amount:


(3)/(7)×12250= ₱5250

When we divide 3 by 7, we take out 3 parts from it like how we did when we were finding percentages of something example:

You scored 30/40, better luck next time :( so what is your percentage? We divide 30 by 40 and then multiply by 100 since the maximum percentage is 100. Same logic here! Here the maximum value is 12,250.00 and we have to find how much 3 is out of 7!

The next one:


(4)/(7)×12250= ₱7000 or you could subtract 12250 from 5250 since the rest goes to the second worker.
