The type of correlation in diagram A is negative correlation

Diagram C shows strongest correlation

Line of best fir of diagram B should not have been drawn

What is negative correlation

Negative correlation refers to a statistical relationship between two variables in which one variable tends to decrease as the other increases.

Hence we can say that when one variable goes up, the other tends to go down, and vice versa.

The line of best fit is a straight line that best represents the overall trend in a scatter plot of data points. For a negative correlation, the line of best fit slopes downward from left to right.

The line of best fit that intersects with more points suggests strong correlation
