It will take 4500 minutes to fill the swimming pool at a rate of 50 liters per minute

How to find how long it will take to fill the pool

To fill the pool we need to find the total volume of the swimming pool

We have to divide the swimming pool into sections and add up

Section 1: trapezoidal side

volume = area of trapezoid * depth

= 0.5 (sum of parallel lines) * height * depth

= 0.5 (2 + 1) * (15 - 4) * 10

= 165 m³

section 2: rectangular side

Volume = length * width * depth

= 1 * 6 * 10

= 60 m³

Total volume

= 60 + 165

= 225 m³

convert to liters

225 * 1000 = 225,000 liters

At a rate of 50 liters per minute, time taken is

time = 225000 / 50 = 4500 minutes
