11 3/4 minutes

=============

First add up the time Roger spent on questions A and B.

He spent 11 3/4 minutes on question A and 6 1/2 minutes on question B.

These two times together add up to:

  • 11 3/4 + 6 1/2 =
  • 11 + 6 + 3/4 + 1/2 =
  • 17 + 3/4 + 2/4 =
  • 17 + 5/4 =
  • 17 + 1 1/4 =
  • 18 1/4 minutes

Roger had a total of 30 minutes to complete the quiz.

To find out how much time Roger had left for question C, we subtract the time he spent on question A and B from the total time:

  • 30 - 18 1/4 =
  • 30 - 18 - 1/4 =
  • 12 - 1/4 =
  • 11 3/4 minutes

So, Roger had 11 3/4 minutes left to complete question C on the quiz.
