The values of angles F, G and H are 52, 52 and 76 respectively.

The base angles of isosceles triangles are equal ;

  • Angle G = Angle F

We can then equate the values given to find x ;

5x + 27 = 2x + 42

collect like terms

5x - 2x = 42 - 27

3x = 15

x = 5

Angle G ;

  • 5(5) + 27 = 52°

Angle F ;

  • 2(5) + 42 = 52°

Angle H ;

F + G + H = 180 (sum of angles in a triangle )

H = 180 - 104

H = 76°

Hence, the values of angles F, G and H are 52, 52 and 76 respectively.
