Explanation

Slope:

The equation point slope so the slope is the number right after the =. So in this case its 2. That means that starting at the y-intercept which we'll find later you can graph it by going up 2 points and then over 1. That's because a slope can always be unsimplifyed into a fraction: 2/1 the top number is the amount of points up and the bottom is the amount of points to the side.

Y-intercept:

To find y intercept you can use the equation and just solve it. To do that first distribute:

y-2=2(x-2)

multiply the -2 by 2. That equals -4

y-2=-4

+2 +2

y=-2

You add two to each side to even it out.

-2 is the y-intercept.

Graphing:

To graph the new equation:

Y=2x-2

(y=slope x-y intercept)

Start at the y intercept (-2) and go up 2 points and over 1.) Repeat until graphed.
