Let’s call the percentage error X.

The formula would be: X = Estimated value - Actual Value / Actual Value * 100.

In this case: The Estimated value is 18 feet while the Actual Value is 16 feet.
———————————————————————————————————————————
Solving:

18-16/16 * 100 = 2/16 * 100 = 1/8 * 100

1/8 * 100 = 100/8 = 12 4/8 = 12.5%

———————————————————————————————————————————

Therefore: 12.5% is Teresa’s percentage error.

The formula for percentage error is |estimated value - actual value| / actual value * 100%.

So, |18 - 16| / 16 * 100% = 2 / 16 * 100% = 12.5%.

So, Teresa's percentage error is approximately 12.5%.
