First we need to get p and q by its self by balancing the equation.
For p, we minus -4 on both sides:
p + 4 = 2
-4 -4
which equals to:
p = -2

Now that we have the answer to p we can now work on q.
For q, we need to balance the equation by
adding -3 on both sides this time:
q - 3 = 2
+3 +3
which will equal:
q = 5

We now know that p is -2 and q is 5 and we need to find out pq which can also written as p × q.
Using this we can replace p with -2 and q with 5:
-2 × 5
which equals to the answer:
-10

Answer: -10
