Work out the area of a semi circle with radius 3cm.Give your answer in terms of pie

Answer: your answer will be 4.5pi or 9/2 pi if you leave it as a fraction

Explanation:

Okay we know that the area of a circle = pi *
r^2

so we will find the area of a circle by doing pi *
3^2 = 9pi

Since you have a SEMI CIRCLE , you will divide the area of a circle by 2 since a semi circle is half a circle.

Therefore your answer will be 4.5pi or 14.31716694 as a decimal
