1) D is non proportional because the graph changed in the middle of the line.

2) )B is non proportional because the graph does no state from origin like other graphs

3) A is non proportional because the equation has a constant number,

4) D is non proportional because the ratio of number of sodas to cost is no constant all through. The ratio changes from 0.3 at initial stage to 0.366 at the middle of the relations.

What is non proportionality of variables?

A non-proportional relationship between two variables means that their values do not follow a constant ratio. In such relationships, changes in one variable do not consistently result in a proportional change in the other variable.

1) D is non proportional because the graph changed in the middle of the line. Graph D is no linear all through. There is rapid nonprotionality in the middle of the graph where the ratio of the variables are not constant.

2)B is non proportional because the graph does no state from origin like other graphs. From the graph there is initial value of vertical variable.

3) A is non proportional because the equation has a constant number, this will shift the graph of the equation upward with 3 units.

4) D is non proportional because the ratio of number of sodas to cost is not constant all through.

TableA ratio = 2.5/10 = 5/20 = 6.25/25 =7.5/30 = 0.25 (constant)

TableB ratio = 2.5/10 = 5/20 = 12.5/50 = 15/60 = 0.25 (constant)

Table C ratio = 3/10 = 9/30 = 16.5/55 = 18/60 = 0.3 (constant).

Table D

3/10 = 0.3

9/30 = 0.3

16.5/45 = 0.366

18/60 = 0.3

The ratio changes from 0.3 at initial stage to 0.366 at the middle of the relations.
