X+2=y
2x-4=3y

From this we can get x=y-2 and substitute that into the below equation. With this we get 2y-4-4=y and convert that to y=8. Then we can substitute y=8 into x+2=y and we get x=6. So y=8 and x=6. Hope this helped!
