The syntax of the French language is quite different from the syntax of the English language. A grammatically correct sentence in French may or may not be grammatically correct in English. Why would it be useful to read this sentence more than once?

Answer:

It will be useful to read each french sentence more than once because of different placement of various parts of a sentence...If you read it more than once you make sure you didn't miss a word...

Example

J'ai un gros velo vert

In this sentence most people might miss the word "gros" and convert it into English as "I have a green bike".

Hope this helps
