Answer:

y = - 2

Explanation:

calculate the slope m using the slope formula

m =
(y_(2)-y_(1) )/(x_(2)-x_(1) )

let (x₁, y₁ ) = A (- 3.2, - 2 ) and (x₂, y₂ ) = B (- 8.1, - 2 )

substitute these values into the formula for m

m =
(-2-(-2))/(-8.1-(-3.2)) =
(-2+2)/(-8.1+3.2) =
(0)/(-4.9) = 0

A slope of zero indicates the line is horizontal with equation

y = c ( c is the value of the y- coordinates the line passes through )

the line passes through (- 3.2, - 2 ) and (- 8.1, - 2 )

both with y- coordinate of - 2 , then

y = - 2 ← equation of line
