x+y=1
6x-2y=-26

Let’s solve this by elimination.

Multiply -6 to equation 1

-6(x+y)=-6(1)

This gives us

-6x-6y=-6

Now add this to equation 2 to eliminate the x variable.. doing so we have

-6x-6y=-6
+6x-2y=-26

Adding these two we have

-8y=-32

To solve for y, divide both sides by -8

This gives us y=4

Now plugging in y=4 into equation 1 for y we get

x+4=1

Subtract 4 to both sides to solve for x. Doing so we have

x=-3

So x=-3 and y=4

This gives us the ordered pair (-3,4). So our final answer as an ordered pair is (-3,4). Hope this helps!!!!
