Since you know that triangle MNP is congruent to TUS, to find x, we first need to find angle N by using the triangle sum theorem

Finding Angle N:

ang. N + ang. M + ang. P = 180
ang. N + 142 + 24 = 180
ang. N + 166 = 180
ang. N = 14

Now, to find x, know that ang. N congruent ang. U

ang. N = ang. U
14 = 2x - 50
64 = 2x
x = 32

Now to find y, we know that side NP congruent side US

NP = US

(2x-y) = 13
2(32)-y = 13
64 - y = 13
-y = -51
y = 51
