Answer: 3/2

Explanation:

Slope can be calculated as rise/run.

In this case, we have whole numbers are your coordinate points, so the easiest way to go about it is to count how many plots up you "rise" (in this case, from -4 to 2, it's 6) and then separately count how many plots to the right for your "run" (from -2 to 2, it's 4). By this method, your slope is 6/4 or 3/2 simplified.

For a more technical route, or if you were only given the points and not the graph, we can look at the coordinates: (-2, -4) and (2, 2). We can use the formula
(y_(2) - y_(1))/(x_(2) - x_(1)) . The coordinates are in alphabetical order, making it a little easier to remember which one comes first, so the points are in (x,y) form.

For our "rise", that will be our y-axis, since it moves up and down (hence the name "rise"). Our y-coordinates are -4 and 2, so to find the rise, we can say:

2 - (-4) = 6

We can then do the same for our x-coordinates for our "run" (think we run on a flat surface and the x-axis is flat, left to right). Our x-coordinates are -2 and 2, so we can say:

2 - (-2) = 4

Now that we have our numbers, we can put them into our slope form: rise/run

6/4, and we can divide the top and bottom by 2 to simplify for 3/2

Hope that helps!
