Answer:

y = -6x + 17

6x + 5y = -11

y = -6x + 17

6x + 5y = -11

replace y in the 2nd equation

6x+5(-6x+17)=-11

6x-30x+85=-11

-24x=-11-85

x=4

calculate y :

y =-6x+17

y = -6*4+17 =-7

solutions {4,-7}
